What you're working with
Every print is produced on 200gsm enhanced uncoated fine art paper with a 12-colour pigment ink set. Matte, uncoated, no glare. Pigment inks hold their colour far better than dye-based printing — keep it out of direct sun and it will stay true for decades.

Choosing a frame
There is no wrong answer, but some frames work harder than others. A mat board between frame and print — typically 3–5 cm on all sides — elevates almost any piece and prevents the print from touching the glazing. Below are the most common frame types and when they shine.

The case for a mat board
A 4 cm white mat board is the single best framing decision you can make. It separates the print from the glazing (preventing condensation contact), creates visual breathing room, and makes any size print look intentional in any frame. Most frame shops cut mats to order for a few pounds or dollars. If in doubt: add the mat.
Caring for your print
Archival paper is more durable than it looks, but it does need some basic care to stay looking its best. These habits are easy to build and make a real difference over the years.
Handle by the edges
Natural oils from your skin can transfer to the paper surface and attract dust over time. Use clean cotton gloves if you have them, or hold prints only by their edges.
Store flat or rolled, never folded
If you're not framing immediately, store prints flat in an archival sleeve or roll them loosely in acid-free tissue paper (print side out). Never fold — creases in fine art paper are permanent.
Keep out of direct sunlight
These prints use pigment inks, which hold colour far longer than dye-based printing. UV exposure still fades any printed work over time, so indirect or diffused light is ideal. UV-filtering glass or acrylic extends print life significantly.
Use UV-filtering glazing
If your frame uses glass, ask for museum glass or conservation-grade acrylic. It blocks 98% of UV light and is nearly invisible. Standard glass transmits UV freely. This single upgrade makes the biggest difference for longevity.
Maintain stable temperature and humidity
Avoid hanging prints directly over radiators or heat vents, or in humid spaces like bathrooms. Paper is hygroscopic — it expands and contracts with moisture. Over time, this causes cockling (waviness) that no frame will fully hide.
Use acid-free matting
If your frame includes a mat board, make sure it's acid-free (also called conservation or museum mat). Acidic mats yellow over time and leach into the print from the edges. Most quality frame shops use acid-free mat as standard — ask to confirm.
